The crossovers will give a straight intake while downdraft give a ~45° angle between the head and the throttle. We had that actually on a high reving 4 cylinder. The owner made a new intake manifold with a bend of ~40° between head and throttles ( to mount a bigger airbox ) - eveything else was the ...

Thank you... The RC87 will have 26/66 and the lift I measured with around 10.2mm inlet and 10.0mm exaust. There would be much wilder cams out there - even when the engine were able to go up to 12mm lift and 6000rpm with Piper VTSV8 tripple valve springs and Federal Mogul steel rockers. I will think ...

Hi JSF55, I think the RAM air effect will be very, very small compared to the cold air effect. Bigaldart has posted what I think as well - but a little bit hope is to have a little increase in pressure cause the air inlet is in the best = highest pressure zone and it is like a duct with nearly no bo...

Hi scudderfish, I am a little bit skilled in electronics. I know differental pressure sensors. For exactly such tasks I orderes the iDash fron 14point7 to log an visualize the signal. But that dammed ECU has a bug and I did not get ANY support from the Alan ( see the support forum ). So, at the mome...

Cool air for the 3.5 V8 in a Marcos
Hi, I want to show you my - nearly - finished idea about a cool air intake for my Rover 3.5 I bought the car with the engine. Some documents showed, that Rovercraft tuned the engine to 200BHP ( with SU carbs ). Another owner addd a Holley 4bb carb with an Offenhauser inlet. When I got the car, the c...

My first V8 powered car...
A warm welcome to you all, my nick name is springV8 (horror to find a name...). I live in Germany next to the lake Constance. Doing a lot of garage work in the last 30 years - mainly trying to make the vehicles faster to beat my friends on the race track, slalom or hill climbs. Time goes on: wife, c...

My first V8 - a Rover 3.5 in a Marcos Mantula
Hello, seems to be a lot of Marcos Mantula in here - hello Ian! I am a V8 owner since last year. I bought a Marcos with a Rover 3.5l. I am living in Germany next to lake Constance - and yes, I am not a native english writer. So, forgive some unusual sentences or wordings. Before a V8 I had earned a ...
