Does it happen at the same speed in any gear? If so it pretty much rules out the gearbox, sounds like a prop shaft UJ or maybe a balance weight has come off of the prop shaft.

Well I run 540cc injectors in my 6.3l SBC, it runs pretty well and I had no idling issues at all.

Typical dealer response for anything is normal wear and tear, but if the angles are still out of spec including tolerances then surely the car was not built properly. If that's the case its time to start being a complete pain in the derrier to the dealer as pester power does work, also try going dir...

True and now they only do bodywork and showy stuff, still at least the prognosis for the engine is not quite so bad :)

Don't put them in the front they will get filled with mud and that's it no cooling, other than that they should work OK but you might want to mount them in front of your rad so they get some airflow.

Well sort of they changed the ride heights and also installed Koni dampers, there was one 630R with an active suspension system but I think that was added after the Overfinch conversion. They also uprated the front anti roll bar and installed a rear anti rollbar, mine has the brackets fopr the rear ...

Now I was always told by my friends with air cooled Porches that they used 20/50 Dino oil as it was far better at cooling the engine than the modern synthetic oils, if that is correct it could explain the issues that you were getting with the higher temperatures.

Ouch that's a bummer still at least for the retest you know you should be OK just do the "Wimbledon neck" thing with the mirrors and hopefully all will be well on the retest.

I will get a picture or 2 and post, I did try slimming down a ring spanner but the head of the bollt is to far gone for it to grip properly.

This thing is fighting me all the way and that's before the engine is even out 🤔

Torque Converter bolts

OK anyone have any idea how to get a well tight and slightly knackered torque converter bolt out? This is on the Small Block Chevy in my Overfinch, there is no access for a socket to get to the bolts and one of them is so tight I cannot get it out with an open ended spanner and I cant get a ring on ...
