Heads I will be using TVR500 heads which are already fairly heavily worked with 43 mm (1.7 in) intake and 37 mm (1.5 in) exhaust valves. Main motivation for throttle bodies is to tame the H324 or M248 cam in combination with an ECU. I understand the cost vs the BHP is minimal but BHP is not the main...

Thanks both I will check out the JE cross over and see if there is a restriction at the crossover... good shout I did not think of that potential issue. I don't think there is much in it regarding the bend required to go up or across. The inlet from the head appears to be roughly at a 45 degree angl...

RV8 ITB Jenvey Inlet Manifolds - Downdraft vs Crossover
I am after some advice from those in the know. I am looking at rebuilding my TVR500 engine to a higher spec. Current thinking is bore out to 96mm, crossbolt, balance forged rods pistons etc to result in forged 5.2 bottom end. Top end either H324 from an ease of maintenance point of view or possibly ...

So the answer is no then but your happy to slate it all the time. My little experience of MS and the forums is everyone seems to be an expert, the information is conflicting and the interface setting all over the place. Most people want to get in their car and drive them, not sit on the side of the...

Car Limits Activity Day - TVR Griffith
I booked an activity day with Car Limits ay North Weald airfield this month with a number few friends. A great day out for £49.... here are a few vidoes of the Griff being driven by a ham-fisted idiot... Well I suppose I am biased, I ran ITBs on my rover, and the noise was epic, I still get comments from people who used to see it around town telling me how good it sounded, and one comment that will stay with me, from a fella who is not known for his compliments, and a hotrodder who only had good wo...

ITB's are a very expensive route to making some noise !! If you had a fairly open intake tract with a non enclosed filter then it should already be pretty loud. So what exactly is your current setup ? At the moment it is standard Rover EFI cast plenum but with ACT carbon fibre trumpets inside, the ...

Yes exactly that, with old carb V8s you hear that lovely induction roar when you are inside along with the v8 burble from the back.mgbv8 wrote:If the exhaust note is nice then folk wont hear the induction roar. Or are you saying that the induction sound is what you want to hear inside while driving it ?

ITB Sound vs Carbs
Afternoon all, This sound a little strange but I have always been a bit disappointed with the sound of my Griff 500. Don't get me wrong the exhaust note is epic but it does not have any induction sound. I had the pleasure of seeing Andy Race's Monster Griff a long time ago now and this had an incred...

Re: TVR needs more power - LS, L33 etc advice needed
Planning ahead for next winter. I will be fitting either an LS or similar. Maybe an ally L33 or iron L59 to keep to e reasonable budget. I fancy the Tremec TR 6060 6 speed. Aim would be for 400 @ wheels NA and to accept a healthy nitrous shot at the strip. A Dave Mac prop and driveshafts would be u...
