That will be an overfinch conversion i suspect - not sure how they got the electronics to talk with each other, but from what i've read it wasn't...

You can put a Getrag 265 off a Jaguar ( like this ) on the back of a SBC. I'm currently fitting one to the back of my LS (L33) but most of the parts I'm using are from the SBC, although you do need an adapter plate, but you can buy one of them off AK Sportscars. 600 notes seems strong money - you c...

On my graph it only went up to 5580 RPM, wheras it will will rev up to about 6400 before hitting the first rev limiter. Then noticed that it hit 155mph  - so it actually hit the speed limiter, not the rev limiter. It had another 1000rpm to give. We got 418BHP though, which I think it pretty m...

Is the above list the running order?
I'm pretty busy, but if I'm able to wonder down at rough time and get straight on, it would be very handy. As I just want to do a power run, have a cuppa and get back home to carry on with fixing the dakar.

Could it be run in 2nd?, no idea if it will change up to 4th when hammered in 3rd or kickdown into 2nd for that matter. cheers! Stu My Dakar runs a 700r4 an...

For some daft reason I decided to do a body-off restoration on the Dakar - it needs to be ready for the end of April when I'm taking it on a local historic car rally.
If I have some spare time that day I'll wonder over with the VXR8 and see what it's pushing out instead.
