Any takers on your parts Iain? I'm in the market for a sump flange, flywheel and updated clutch. Is your flywheel from the same place you messaged me about?

Now that's a damn fine idea. I've never really been comfortable eight the idea of chopping and welding a pump. The thought of using something designed for the purpose from the off is far more reassuring. There should be plenty of room to drive the oil pump down the bottom of the engine (air con driv...

I've tried to message the guy, but had no reply. There's a seller on eBay who I've been in contact with, who can supply an M62 flywheel with the S50 stud pattern for £425, but then I found a clutch for the M52 (current engine/gearbox) rated for over 400 hp/ftlb, so just waiting on a reply. The reaso...

Any more updates or vids? Also, one question: looking at your engine bay, do you think there's any room for a super charger?

Or even getting the modified section of the pump sand cast, obviously depending on how much that'd cost. Just another idea

+1 for that oil pump mod. I was thinking of going the n62 way, and just getting the pump shaft machined, but yours is a tested and proven design (you also answer questions ) Sadly, after 140000 miles, the underside of my car is looking rather sorry for itself, so everything that can come of, i...

:D oh no! So you mean I'm that bit closer to my dream of owning a v8? Goodbye wallet :P After your uplifting words, I've had a look on bmwfans.info and, as you've done, cross referenced the casings, and the box from my 328 is the same as that on an M3, so after looking on there, and reading what you...

Damn, I was afraid of that. Those boxes seem to be as available as rocking horse poop. Although I was reading that the e34 box internals are the same as those of a 328. Has anyone had any experience with bell housing adapter plates? Sorry for the questions

Does anyone know of any more gearbox variations that would fit the m62, and still allow the use of 328 gear linkage, prop etc?

Have you been hammering it to get that sort of milage, or is that motorway cruising? Not that fuel economy is really a consideration with 4.4 litres :-P

So would the n62 pump bolt straight on, no clearance issues? I'm really interested in fitting a v8 to my coupe, but the only thing I'm not overly keen on is modifying an oil pump, just in case
