Does a power steering pump have a pressure relief valve that could be sticking?

Damn, I was afraid of that. Those boxes seem to be as available as rocking horse poop. Although I was reading that the e34 box internals are the same as those of a 328. Has anyone had any experience with bell housing adapter plates? Sorry for the questions

Does anyone know of any more gearbox variations that would fit the m62, and still allow the use of 328 gear linkage, prop etc?

Have you been hammering it to get that sort of milage, or is that motorway cruising? Not that fuel economy is really a consideration with 4.4 litres

So would the n62 pump bolt straight on, no clearance issues? I'm really interested in fitting a v8 to my coupe, but the only thing I'm not overly keen on is modifying an oil pump, just in case
