well answers to our questions are often found in the most unlikely of places, I have just had an e-mail back from a supplier of all types of motor parts from the Netherlands and he has come up with a rebuild kit for my AFM and at a cost of less than 90 euros, he can also supply my Lambda sensors for...

Air mass/flow meters and Lambdas

I am now conscious again after falling over when the guy at the local landrover garage handed me the price for a new AFM part No. ERR5198 its for a Discovery 3.9 and well lets just say if you take the tens of euro off the end thats what I paid for the whole car, they want 1566.76 euro not inc BTW(VA...

not seen it personally as most people I know do away with the airbox and put a free flow K&N or equiv in its place, I personally would replace and modify the standard plastic one with a blow out valve that would let the preasure out under blow back but stay shut under vaccuum, simmilar to the valves...

I dont want to seem like a cheat but I dont want to start fitting it only to find out half way through that I need more equiptment or parts, I am normally happy to...

I am really liking this now, I have looked through both of those links and all I can say is that it seems as though all I need to do is apply myself and use my patience and I could be able to get the same results as you guys. There is an EFI EXTRA web site that offers complete kits for the rover V8 ...

how did you get on with the crank wheel?

I have been looking at a GEMS engine flywheel, but think it easier to fit it at the pulley end for ease of fitment?

I found these, any good for use with a megajolt system?

Be kind I'm still learning, but spotted these on the old e-blag and wondered if they'd be of any use in conjunction with a megajolt system?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-LAND-ROVER-DE ... 439ada004b

Ah now I understand, will have a look on the e-blag and see what turns up. Will I be wise to just get a set of new rings and a cam kit to fit anyway? I have read loads about the fitting of stainless valves and harder valve seats for running on LPG so am assuming that this would be a good idea too, a...

Leak down test???

How does that work?

I have done quite a bit of spannering but the tech stuff has never really entered my domain as have always known the problem and had a source of transpo that didnt rely on me fixing it by the next journey.

Yeah the engine has been run on LPG and for quite a while, she has a Landi Renzo sequential injection and its registered as gas in its log book too, the system is probably 7 or 8 yrs old now and I would suspect that it was heavilly used as she was a london based car for the best part of her life and...
