yes was 2 main issuises air flow metre .and ecu needs to be reset after changing any engine part on the gems engine as it causes allsorts of problems...i reset ecu adapations afterwoulds and runs brilliant..

Defo..differnert to drive idiols more smoother and seems better responce on throttle too.i removed inlet manifold just incase the gauze was sucked up but no signs if it in there or the rubber intake pipe so .im asumeing that was ir

Right guys after checking some data .i found airflow is all over .so i removed the airflow metre to find the wire smesh gauze is missing .so added a new maf and reset adaptions to see if theres any differnce

Cheers ill do some checking .as fuel mpg as dymatic droped when i reset the ecu adaptations after driving over 2 weekks its not helped mpg tbh ..

Dose anyone know lambda readings of cold and warm ...no leaks all engine sensor readings are correct ..no air leaks .starts at 1100rpm cold and drops to 800rpm warm ..i thought it might have been a faulty gauge so bought a new complete pump sender .

Ive checked sensors with reader all seem good no faults starts runs great .but very strong fueling on start up and running at normal tempture i checked sparks and all are very black over fueling ..

Hi .all my p38 rangerover is really bad on fuel i see about 15mileon 20pound of fuel ( steady driving .after buying a hawkeye reader i found bank b had a faulty lambda .was moving from cold to hot .so i replaced it and reset ecu adaptations it starts idiolsa lot better but mpg has got worse .im woun...

Yes pal .i bought a hawkeye fault reader and reset bcem engine adaptations .its now pefect starts from cold at 1000rpm and once up to tempture idiols drives perfect ..ur knackerd without one .not overly cheep to buy .as i offerd a service of reading clearing testing issises with the p38 .it covers ....

Ive replaced gaskets vac pipes stepper moter etc think i added a video .start fine its when rpm drops below 800rpm goes from smooth to lumpy..all plugs are same colour and comptession is good

Right looks like ive changed wrong sensor ( i changed passenger assumed it was bank b lol right ill go refit the oringal sensor and change drivers one .regards maf cleatef code and no faults appeared....top man ...just hope it sorts the low idiol when up to tempture

Abs sorted was the front sensor .but regards bank a and b if u stand at the front both banks look equal ???
