Re: Drivers seat removal

Just looked at you photos again so I see the seats. Can only be bolted up from underneath into the cross members or directly into the seat bottom.

Re: Drivers seat removal

Oh, should have said it was a Dax Rush. May have been best to ask this question on the Dax Forum https://forum.daxsportingclub.com/phpBB3/ucp.php?mode=login&sid=5c6d0fd8ceec3d588903db027c9bb487 Anyway the fixing is very simple in a Rush but it is up to oneself to design you own fixing. There are two...

Re: High Oil Pressure

Thanks all - gosh is it a month since I checked posts, sorry. Well it has been perfectly OK since I first posted with the gauge showing a stedy circa 30psi. No hint of even slightly high pressure. I've driven a good few miles including a 600 mile trip up to get Dale in Telford to map my MS ECU. MPG ...

Re: High Oil Pressure

So I had a good look around underneath and could not see the PRV - looking for a circlip and cover. Presumed it was located where it is impossible to get to without taking off whole side panel and exhaust too. Went to Somerset for the 250 mile weekend trip and oil pressure all perfectly good. No iss...

Re: High Oil Pressure

Thanks. I think I'll get a repair kit - O ring + circlip - plus a spring and see what happens when I try to fit them. It's not exactly clear and I've searched arund as well.

Re: High Oil Pressure

Having just said this ...
Q1. Is it best to simply replace spring, etc, with a kit?
Q2. Anyone got a link to showing its removal as I need to see if I can get at it all (easily).

It would be worth pulling the PRV just to see how free it is.

It would be much worse if it stuck in an open position
May do this just to see if obvious. Thanks.

Re: High Oil Pressure

I think I will go for a temporally stuck PRV. All other gauges workd fine so tends to rule out any voltage fluctuation and I think the gauge or sender would often read wrong if faulty.

Checked water levels and I used a minimal amount at less than a half pint.

Obviously did not like the very hot day!

High Oil Pressure

Normally my RV8 (from TVR Griffiths 500) runs circa 30psi. Water temp runs 85 - 90 and rarely exceeds that as fan brings temp back very quickly. Yesterday as a birthday treat for my son he had an IAM Skills Day at Thruxton. It was hot (obviously) and when on the track he once thought the water temp ...

Re: It's only me

I've been trying to find an MS mapper and the only guy seems to be Dale (Bailey Performance) in Telford. Nice guy and did my early tuning but now going again in August. (James Murry never cam back to me.)

This is a good place to ask but note there is the https://forum.daxsportingclub.com too although several are on both. Air Fuel ratios are not my strong point, I'm afraid. can you give more details of yur setup for others to comment, please.

Re: LED question

Ask this guy https://www.bettercarlighting.co.uk/

He does a lot of replacement LED bulbs for standard bulbs and probably will have the right one. I used hime to replace all my side and indicator bulbs for LED ones and they were simply a straight swap.

Re: Can Anyone Help?

Thanks and good suggestion. I should know but I think it is a Chevy 350 with Edelrock carbs.
(The problem is he has so little time at the moment running his business that he just wants someone to sort it.)

Can Anyone Help?

My son-in-law has a Dax Cobra that has a miss-fire(probably). He just does not have the time to look at it and wants to get someone to look at it ASAP.

He lives in the Winchester area so could take it to someone around Southampton.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Richard.
