Thanks Ged
You're welcome. Just in case you haven't already done so Google 3/16" x 1" roll pin. You'll be spoilt for choice.

Re: Alternator pulley sizes

Hi Eric,
I make all types of pulleys for the Rover V8. Is it 19/32 bore (15.08mm) with a 1/8" (3.17mm) keyway?
Please look at my website. https://geds-shed.co.uk/

If interested drop me an email.

Best Regards

Ged.

Re: Only 2 plugs on each bank firing ?

I had the same exact thing happen with a stromberg carbed SD1. Turned out to be a rubber elbow on the fuel line near the carb had kinked with the heat & shut off the fuel supply.

Re: 1982 SD1

Thank you for your kind words. if you check the SD1 forum, you'll find plenty evidence of fumes entering the car with non standard exhausts. With all the flaps in the tailgate present and correct, and the seals too. One such only last week. Perhaps you never wondered why Rover chose to fit that odd...

Re: 1982 SD1

The cranked over exhaust is to stop fumes being sucked into the car. Anything else is likely to do it so some extent. The only time I've ever had a problem with fumes is when the flap in the tail gate was not fitted correctly. I have zero ingress of fumes with this tail pipe. I know you're a serial...
