Another positive for Bill Eales, he did all my rover stuff and has since internally balanced all my Chevy stuff. Good work and not over priced either.

Several people have fitted that engine to cobra replica's. Have a search on that forum http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/forum.php or PM tonyd on there as he is a whizz with the lexus engine and it's wiring. I think he claims to be able to get one running with the original ecu and three wires!

Simon, not all Edis 8 cap the revs at 6.4k, I know mine certainly doesn't!

I'm using D585 LS2 truck coils, bought on ebay new for around £15 each delivered

I've got an MS3 waiting to be fitted here too. Going to try sequential. Only because I can. MS is addictive that way. :D . Thats my reason for doing it too, because I can! Spent this afternoon converting an old Chevy distributor into a cam sensor, fully sequential and coil-near-plug here I come! In...

But if he advertised it as " No extra benefits except "£1250 in my pocket" no-one would buy it. Big fan of megasquirt here too, just in the middle of a MS2 to MS3EX swap, 8)

I've rebuilt a RV8 before that wouldn't start untill I moved the distributor a long way from "standard" once it started to warm up though I was able to move the dizzy slowly round until it was back correct and the engine was then timed correctly with a gun. Started just fine after that and I never d...

I've made a full loom from scratch for my efi powered cobra. I used 8 relay bases with 3 fuses attached and worked from there. Then battery earth to chassis and positive to the starter motor ( kill switch in earth), starter motor to alternator, that's all the really heavy duty wiring done. I then to...

40 degrees at 10% throttle will be at cruise so the high figure is fine, I'd probably go higher!. Nothing wrong with that table except I'd probably go slightly higher at idle, 10 degrees sounds low for a tuned engine. JMHO Edit to add a picture of one of my early ignition tables, as sidecar says not...

I did it similar to the hot rod link insomuch as colouring the valve tip with ink, fitting the valve gear and pushrod (bought an adjustable checker one) and then rotating the engine. Checking the pattern "rubbed away" in the ink then increase or decrease the pushrod length and do it all again. Here ...

Are you actually going COP or just one coil per plug? I'd be interested in the former, as it would be the neatest looking solution. Not COP Dave but CNP (coil near plug) using Chevy LS3 coils like this http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mL7MJ2V7j2p7oC2YcSzmJ7Q.jpg They normally fit four per sid...

I'm going to stick with EDIS, since it seems happy enough at the peak revs on my 3.5. Quite understand that. As the MS3 gives me the opertunity to go coil on plug then I decided to do so, my edis8 will be for sale soon. I've already stripped a dizzy out ready for the cam sensor, should be quite nea...
