New PB for the MGB V8.

Post by mgbv8 »

I've had a cracking weekend at the Fast Show.
PB's falling hour by hour. Today best run and PB for me was 11.29 @ 121.12 mph. And I sadly haver to inform Tony Cooper that I just won the "who can get big air" competition!!

All 4 runs today saw the car launching with the nearside front off the deck for around 50 feet. Sorry Coops, The coffee is on you next time mate. Pics to follow soon.

Cheers
Perry

Money is tight at the mo eh?
I'm just happy that I'm still good looking enough to earn a bit on the side by keeping lonely ladies happy on the odd evening. ;)

I did three customers last night and earnt enough to get a new spark plug.

Hi Stevie!!

I'm hoping to have at least one vid and a couple of pics by the end of the week.
Ian Blackett is a mate of mine. He and his Wife Paula always keep an eye out for the old MG for me.

I've looked at some pics on his pc on Sunday, but the Sun was so bright it was hard to see the images in the shed. I've got a couple of nnice pics from Saturday showing the new rear tyres spooling up on launch.

I'm going to treat the stock engine to a good service and rest it up now so I can concentrate on my new MK1 MR2 project.

I'll be back out at the Retro Show in July to try again for another PB. And I'll make sure I get some good footage then...

Are you making it over this year for the Retro Cars Gig???

Regards
Perry

One of the pics I have ordered.

I think I'll need another 3-4 psi in the rear tyres next time.
