Which turbos for 6.0 LQ4

Post by dbv8 »

The Rover engine has served me well in the TVR but now its time to move on to much bigger power.

I am planning on maybe using a 6.0 LQ4 and due to packaging I don't think a big enough single turbo will be easy to fit so am looking at twins.
I would be interested if there is a suitable single that comes in a small package if there is one.
Otherwise what turbos would be recommended?
I would like to see 700 bhp on modest boost if possible

All the big names can do singles in fairly compact frames, so size will not be a major issue for a single.

If you look at what AGP do with the Gen5 Camaros, it will give you an idea on turbos, as their base kits retain fairly small units.

If you're stickng with that 700 goal vs the other thread, then 2 little ones like this would do and spool fast

Or these would give a bit more headroom and still on a nice budget

Or you could opt for some of the newer SXE range.

Goatperformance, Hellion, APS TTinc, UPP are others who have done twin kits over the years for similar cars.
There is plenty of info out there, but of all I've seen in recent times the AGP stuff is the tidiest.
