my V8 mk5 cortina

Post by V8cortina »

heres my mk5 cortina ghia sleeper, powered by a rover V8

Ive rebuilt the engine to stock spec and has a 4 barrel weber/edelbrock carb on an edelbrock performer manifold, carb is topped off with a 10" edelbrock air filter, valve covers are edelbrock SBC covers fitted using adaptors. Exhaust comprises of home made manifolds which go into cortina 2.3 center boxes and then onto a single cherry bomb, for the sleeper look, Gearbox is a borg warner 66 auto (cos I'm lazy!)

Thanks for the comments chaps, the engine only went in this week and it's not quite finished although its drivable, just cosmetic tidy ups to do really, the car is my daily driver and the only car I own.

I took the week off work to do the V8 conversion, it's been a long busy week!
