temp sender

hi guys, can anyone tell me what temp the electric fan sender operates at?

and also can anyone point me in the direction of a decent aftermarket gauge and sender that actully fits into rv8 standard sender hole

Are you sure that's not something to do with the choke as it looks like its got 40c stamped on it.

Wasn't the Otter switch something to do with the choke circuit? have a search for Otter switch on here.

It looks like a rad temp switch that's been fitted into the hole where the Otter switch should be.

It also looks like HIF6 carbs fitted to an HS6 manifold.

P6 with a manual choke had a choke warning light which came on when the coolant reached a certain temp. Too low for a fan, though, I'd say.

That is the place where the otter switch would have been for fan control. So maybe someone fitted a low temp item due to an under-cooling problem at some time?

to confirm its the temp sender for the twin electrical fans on rangerover classic set at approx 40/45degress but thanks for reply guys
