This was my old mk3 escort RS1600i replica i built, it was all for practice really, setting up suspension and welding etc, all the brackets and tube etc were cut by hand, i didnt even have a grinder at the time! All the holes were drilled with black and deckers finest as i didnt have access to pillar drills!

Didnt cost a lot, but i had an awful lot of time in it! When i had to go back to college i sold it as a part finished project, but kept the 302 Wink

Ta daa! te old girl was slightly over engineered! i got carried away with the eigth wall box! but it was strong! front clip was mk4 cortina, as i dont know enough about suspension geometry to risk a mistake, rear axle was a salisbury 4HA

fuel tank was mk1 transit, and by the time i sold it, it was basically all painted inside and ready for the floors and wiring to go back in, but i had a gtr and the capri on the drive and decided the garage could be put to better use and sold the lot for a grand total of £160 on ebay!

wish i hadnt, but never mind eh!? Laughing

Pity. It had the potential for being a bit of a larf.

Chris.
