4.6RV8 first start

Hi all,

Some time ago I bought a second hand 4.6 from a guy on this forum with the intention of rebuilding it and replacing the tired 3.5 lump in my Cobra replica. Long story short - it's taken me ages (a little over 4 years) but last weekend I ran out of reasons not to fire it up and see if it ran, or if I had made a complete mess of it... Video below captures the project and its final moments... This was my first ever (and probably last) engine build, so I reckon that the ratio of research to action has been about 10:1!

I want to thank the members of this forum for posting up a wealth of advice for me to tap into, and of course for being the source of the engine in the first place...
