hello all,
Has anyone used the competition head gaskets V8D sell a pair for £80.
and what is the compressed thickness of these?
I'm looking for something 96mm bore and 1mm thick when compressed....
I like the cometic ones, just don't like the £200+ price tag.
cheers
scott

They are 1.2mm thick..
I will run them on couple of year´s go.. They are not as good as Elring´s. But only choice for big bore engines if you dont want to run cometic.
They may leak oil in the middle of the block/cylinder head.. But i think they will need re torqueing after first start up.. This may eliminate oil leaking. Never done this, but next time will do when i install them..
I have got 1 set of 96mm new cometic gasket´s they are 1mm thick. Only problem is that i live in Finland. I can sell them to 150£, But freight and payment might be an another issue..
