I am also a RV8 nut but like most V8's anyway
Cars I currently have.
1986 Rover 3500 SE (full Vitesse spec but with a 4.6lt) was an ex London Police car,
previous owner immigrated to South Africa in 1995 and brought the car with. I bought it 3 weeks ago with a truckload of parts . car is in good nick and drives very well.

And I have just sold my Sierra/Sapphire RS Cosworth after 17 years ownership, it was 1 of 12 cars built in SA by Basil Green Ford (V8 Capri Perana Fame)
Also had a LHD TR7 V8 3.9lt roadster, sold a few years back, awesome car

Welcome Gavin. Seen your posts on the SD1 forum. You were an extremely lucky guy finding the ex police SD1 with all those spares and in such good nick.
I also have an SD1 with a 4.6 engine. I'm Paul F H on the SD1 forum. My old car was a Manta A also 4.6 Rover V8, hence the Muscle-Manta user name on here.

Hey Paul, yes remember you from the SD1 site, I was lucky to get the ex Police car, drives like a dream, used it to go to work today.
The spares package I got with the car is a site to see. I have gone through everything twice now and 80% of the items are still new in either Austin Rover packaging or Rimmer Bros, I put a list on the Rimmers order sheet just to see the current pricing and from the Parts that are still listed (some are listed as no longer available) the value is over GBP4,000, for me to have to import those parts would cost me around ZAR 112,000 at the current exchange rate, I paid ZAR 30,000 for the car and all the parts
Am more than chuffed with my purchase as I was about to place an order from Rimmers for my race car +- GBP 330 but now I don't have to, have double of most parts
