Removing broken self tappers

I'm trying to remove some tiny self tappers from a box section - and they are well rusty. Some sheared off - even after being soaked in Plus Gas for several days. Got some of those where they'd left a stump out with mole grips - but a couple are flush with the box section, which I don't want to damage.

I do have small tungsten carbide drills for PCB use - but don't want to risk breaking them given their cost.

Any bright ideas? Arc welding nuts into them would be my favourite way - if they were larger.

Hi Dave

If you want to PM your address I can send you some 3mm drills to take the little buggers out.

cheers

I remembered I had some diamond coated assorted burrs for a Dremel (local market stuff and cheap) so decided to try them. The small ball ground down through the stump easily. So I'm happy.

Thanks for the offer, though.
