Have set up an automatic renewal for gold membership now via the paypal payment service,
this can be undone any time by clicking the unsubscribe button,
all payments can now be made via this page:

so far seems to be running smoothly,
if anyone has any problems let us know, but like i said this new setup seems to be running ok for Gold payments.
