I'm making up the pipework to suit my new pump and seperate resevoir.

Are there any diy hosing and joint types that i can build the high pressure hose out of?

I have the correct fitting to go into the pump and the original pipe i had made to suit the sd1 pump goes to just under the pump so i was thinking of getting some steel pipe from somewhere forming it to shape to join the two then tig'ing them together. I'd obviously ensure all was clean and free of restrictions before use and when fitted ensuring its all correctly supported.

Sound good?

That will work, but as you say, the steelwork MUST be supporetd correctly. if you know someone who makes hydraulic hoses, get crimps made rather than compression, But if you are on a bugdet, compression will work, just I have had comps come undone on me before.

I've had a couple of PAS pipework sets made up - I just go to my local industrial hydraulic people (there's loads about), and get them to make it up, crimps 'n all.

I even had a new hose made up for my old Montego for £20, a new one was £80.
