Got our blos fitted tonight to our 3.9

First impressions are. its allot smoother, picks up without hesitation, with it being a manual you can really tell

Also it seems less restrictive than the mixer we had on and it has more power

Will report back with mpg and after more testing

its easily as good as the lpg injection systems so far, and we have driven them all

I have had a BLOS fitted to my Land Rover (110 V8, running on Strombergs) for about a month now.

Generally pretty happy, though I'm not convinced that I've got it set up correctly yet (no gas tester). Idle is great (was bad on LPG before); low speed responsiveness is excellent; overall mpg is about 2-3 mpg better (quite a lot when you are getting 16mpg at best, 13.5 average); more grunt at motorway speeds with overdrive in. However throttle response under load (accelerating from 40 mph on the level or uphill from 45 to 60) seems less good.

It is a quality bit of kit - I just need to set it up better[/img]

I too have a gas conversion with a mixer ring before the TB. The intake for the idle control valve on a rover v8 has a hose which draws it's air from between the mixer ring and the TB, thus any air reaching the plenum gets in only from where the lpg enters.

only 3% powerloss on LPG
2-3mpg better = over 10% improvement.
Nice!
