Vortech recommends the use of our Racing Bypass Valve with all V-4 applications. Operating at 12 psi, this supercharger is nearly twice as efficient as a Roots-type supercharger, thus saving 125 hp with parasitic losses.
Straight cut spur gear
Maximum impeller speed: 60,000 RPM
Available with straight discharge, clockwise rotation, and satin finish only
V-5 D Trim & G Trim:
Designed to be utilized on 1.6 to 4 litre engines, this unit features a very low surge threshold which makes it ideal for smaller displacement engines. The V-5 was engineered and tested using Vortech's state-of-the-art test cell (built to SAE standard J1723). The result is a supercharger unit with an extremely efficient compressor design which translates into less horsepower needed to drive the supercharger, cooler discharge temperatures and more available boost throughout the entire range of engine operations. The V-5 supercharger makes it possible to supercharge smaller displacement engines utilized extensively in the import car market, as well as in jet skis, snow mobiles and motorcycles.
V-7 Y-Trim & V-7 YS-Trim:
You think that having the industries best performing street supercharger - the V1 S Trim - would be enough, but innovation and constant development are a way of life at Vortech which has led to the introduction of the V7 series supercharger.
We have taken the expertise gained in making the Mondo and V4 and placed it firmly into a small compact package that fits straight into an existing V1 series supercharger bracket. The V7 will support up to a 1000bhp engine. Another advantage is that the V7 can incorporate the much larger T-Trim and J-Trim impellers for even more performance boost. There is also a new oil seal design for reduced friction. Our products only get better.
Fits engines up to 1000 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 1,500 CFM
Maximum boost pressure: 29 PSI
Maximum impeller speed: 65,000 RPM
Adiabatic efficiency: 74%
Available with straight or curved discharge in clockwise rotation only
V-9 Trim:
Utilizing precision cut gears to drive its impeller, the V-9 incorporates the strengths of superior design with the quality of manufacturing and testing that Vortech is famous for.
Straight cut spur gear
Fits engines up to 575 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 800 CFM
Maximum boost pressure: 20 PSI
Absolute maximum impeller speed: 65,000 RPM
Adiabatic efficiency: 72%
Available with straight discharge in clockwise or counter clockwise rotation
