Supercharger oil level monitoring

Currently re-building my Procharger centrifugal supercharger. I want to have an easier way to check the oil level from the self contained reservoir, currently a small dip stick but the process takes ages to take apart the front of my engine bay to gain access to the dip stick, a right pain and the first few miles with my rebuilt supercharger i'm going to be keeping an eagle eye on its oil level!
Thinking of either
1. using a couple of banjo bolts tapped into the case and linked with clear tube for a simple sight gauge,
or
2. some sort of electrical switch to light up an LED on my dash - this would only work with engine off - like an oil check light - as the oil will be in a mist during us. But I don't know if there is such an oil switch available? Could a conductive switch work? I presume oil conductivity is different to air? maybe could make up a little circuit to light up an LED if the resistance changes?
What do you think?
Tom.
