Rv8 - Number on Block

I have had my RV8 for over 8 years and doing some work yesterday I noticed the attached number on the flat section at the top rear left of the block where the bell housing bolts up.
I understand that some some car makes that use the RV8 have their engine number in this position but this is not the case for my engine. The engine number is on the pad on the side of the engine and is the correct number with the BL stamp and CR ratio etc.
So any idea what this number is
