HT Lead resistance

At the moment I have a set of silicone HT leads from Accuspark on my Rover V8, and whilst sorting out my spares cupboard came across a set of HT leads made by Pertronix in the USA. On measuring the resistance of the 2 types, I was amazed at the difference: UK set 12 K Ohm per metre, USA set 1.13 K Ohm per metre. Would there be anything to be be gained (or lost) switching to the low resistance set?

p.s.I am already using the Pertronix distributor conversion and Flamethrower Coil

This might be interesting:

FYI: Magnecor seems to be between 7.2kohm/m and 9.8kohm/m depending on their model. They do have a set for 'classic' cars where RFI isn't a requirement.

FWIW I would stick with the UK 12k set.
