release bearing types?

So many questions today....
I have a rover v8 clutch cover from AP with curved edges on the fingers, so they are not flat.....
Reading up today, the info from AP I find that I need a flat faced bearing to go with this cover.
But I've already ordered a new AP CP6859-54 concentric slave bearing to use with this cover, but it has a bearing that has a rounded nose.
So my question is.....what will be the problem using a round bearing with round finger clutch cover?, as its not designed for this...
Otherwise looks like I should have ordered the AP CP6859-14 cylinder instead.
